Baseball Programs

2023 General Information:

Registration for baseball is open as of Friday, January 20, 2023. Registration closes on Sunday, March 19, 2023. The fee for 2023 is $95 per player. Please register early before teams are formed to assure a roster spot. MTL has a no refund policy.

Those registered can expect to hear from your child's coach on or before Thursday, April 6, 2023. Games begin the week of Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Evaluations: Evaluations for Majors & AA players will take place at the Pleasant Valley Way Gymnasium at West Orange High School on Saturday, 3/11/23 (9:30AM – 11:30AM), Wednesday, 3/15/23 (7PM to 9PM) and Sunday, 3/19/23 (3:30PM – 5:30PM). There are no evaluations for those participating in T-Ball or Coach Pitch. Majors & AA players must come to one of these mandatory evaluations. Players must have a glove and be wearing sneakers to be evaluated. While bats and helmets will be available at the evaluations, players are strongly encouraged to bring their baseball equipment (batting gloves, bats, helmets). Please note that a player is not required to be present for the entire evaluation session. Once a player is evaluated (the evaluation process takes approximately 20 minutes), you may leave. Wait time for evaluations tends to be longest during the first 30 minutes of each session. You may arrive at any time prior to 15 minutes before the scheduled evaluation end time. Players are evaluated in the order of arrival.

Information for each 2023 MTL Baseball Program is provided below.

MTL TBall (Ages 5-6) Sun/Tue:

There are two scheduled T-Ball games per week. One game is held on Sunday at 12PM (after Little Kickers Soccer) and the other is on Tuesdays at 6:00PM. All children play - no evaluation is required to participate in TBall.  

MTL TBall (Ages 5-6) Mon/Wed:

There are two scheduled T-Ball games per week. Games are held on both Monday and Wednesday at 6PM. All children play - no evaluation is required to participate in TBall.

MTL Coach Pitch (Age 7) Tue/Thur:

There are two scheduled Coach Pitch games per week. Games are held on both Tuesday and Thursday at 6PM. All children play - no evaluation is required to participate in Coach Pitch.

MTL AA (Ages 8-9) Tue/Thur:

There are two scheduled AA games per week. Games are held on both Tuesday and Thursday at 6PM. Teams will practice approximately twice per week.  Each team's practice & game schedule (including field assignments) will be communicated in mid-April by each team's coach. All players will be evaluated to help build balanced teams, but it is not a tryout and all players on the roster play.

MTL Majors (10-12) Mon/Wed:

There are two scheduled Majors games per week. Games are held on both Monday and Wednesday at 6PM. Teams will practice approximately twice per week. Each team's game and practice schedule (including field assignments) will be communicated in mid-April by each team's coach. All players will be evaluated to help build balanced teams, but it is not a tryout and all players on the roster play.
